Richard Mille RM 67-02 Automatic Winding Extra Flat

The Richard Mille RM 67-02 is a technically focused luxury sports watch developed as the sporting version of the RM 67-01. Richard Mille reworked the design to emphasize lightness, ergonomics, and athletic performance, creating a timepiece intended to feel highly integrated with the wearer during active use.

Its combination of an extra-flat skeletonised automatic movement, advanced TPT® composite materials, grade 5 titanium components, and lightweight elastic strap gives the RM 67-02 a distinctive identity within the Richard Mille collection.

Ultra-Light 32g Construction

One of the defining characteristics of the Richard Mille RM 67-02 is its remarkably low weight. Richard Mille states that the watch weighs only 32 grams, achieved through the combination of TPT® composite materials, grade 5 titanium, and the brand’s lightweight elastic wristband.

This lightweight construction is particularly relevant to the RM 67-02’s sporting purpose, where reduced weight and comfortable wrist fit are important considerations.

CRMA7 Skeletonised Automatic Movement

Inside the RM 67-02 Automatic Winding Extra Flat is the CRMA7 skeletonised automatic-winding movement, displaying hours and minutes. The open architecture exposes the mechanical structure and reinforces the technical character of the watch.

The CRMA7 movement measures approximately 28.40 × 31.25 mm, with a movement thickness of only 4.00 mm. It contains 25 jewels and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). Richard Mille specifies a power reserve of approximately 50 hours ±10%.

TPT® Composite Case

The Richard Mille RM 67-02 uses a case constructed from Quartz TPT® and Carbon TPT®. These composite materials are produced from layers of aligned fibres and resin, creating the distinctive patterned appearance associated with Richard Mille’s advanced-material watches.

The case construction is engineered around strength and low weight, supporting the RM 67-02’s role as a high-performance luxury sports watch.

Grade 5 Titanium Movement Components

The CRMA7’s baseplate and bridges are made from grade 5 titanium. The baseplate receives a black DLC treatment, while the bridges use a grey DLC treatment. Richard Mille also describes satin finishing, microblasting, and hand beveling on these components.

The skeletonised architecture is subjected to extensive validation testing to meet the strength requirements associated with an athletic timepiece.

Carbon TPT® and White Gold Rotor

The automatic winding system incorporates a rotor made from Carbon TPT® and white gold. It works with Richard Mille’s OneWay® winding system and ceramic ball bearings, allowing the barrel to be efficiently wound while preserving the compact dimensions of the extra-flat movement.

This technical approach helps maintain the balance between automatic functionality, lightweight construction, and the RM 67-02’s slim mechanical architecture.

Athletic Luxury Sports Design

The RM 67-02 was designed specifically with sporting use in mind. Richard Mille describes it as a watch developed to create a type of “symbiosis” with the athlete and notes that different brand partners have developed versions in their respective national colors for testing across different sporting disciplines.

Comfortable Elastic Strap

The RM 67-02 comes with a seamless, non-slip and highly elastic comfort strap. The strap is designed to adapt to the contours of the wrist, complementing the watch’s lightweight construction and athletic character.

30 Metres Water Resistance

The complete RM 67-02 case construction provides water resistance to 30 metres, using two Nitrile O-ring seals. The case is assembled with 12 grade 5 titanium spline screws and 316L stainless steel washers.
