The Richard Mille RM 67-02 Wayde van Niekerk brings together advanced watchmaking and elite sprinting performance. Richard Mille developed the RM 67-02 as a sports-focused evolution of the RM 67-01, with particular attention to lightness, ergonomics, comfort, and resistance.

Wayde van Niekerk is an Olympic champion and world record holder from South Africa. Richard Mille states that he became a brand partner in 2016 and wears the RM 67-02 Automatic Sprint, a model specifically developed for optimum comfort, technical sophistication, and dynamic lines.

Ultra-Light 32g Design

A defining feature of the Richard Mille RM 67-02 Wayde van Niekerk is its remarkably low weight. Richard Mille states that the RM 67-02 weighs only 32 grams, thanks to the combination of TPT® composite materials, grade 5 titanium, and an elastic wristband.

This lightweight approach reflects the watch’s athletic purpose. Rather than simply creating a visually sporty timepiece, Richard Mille designed the RM 67-02 to closely adapt to the movements and requirements of athletes.

CRMA7 Skeletonised Automatic Movement

The RM 67-02 is powered by the CRMA7 automatic-winding skeletonised movement, displaying hours and minutes. The open-work architecture allows the mechanical components to remain visible, reinforcing the technical character of the watch.

The movement measures approximately 28.40 × 31.25 mm and is only 4.00 mm thick. It contains 25 jewels and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz.

Approximately 50-Hour Power Reserve

The Richard Mille RM 67-02 Wayde van Niekerk features an automatic movement with an approximate 50-hour power reserve, ±10%. The compact calibre uses a Carbon TPT® and white-gold rotor together with the OneWay® winding system and ceramic ball bearings.

The movement’s construction allows Richard Mille to combine automatic winding with the thin profile expected from an extra-flat sports watch.

TPT® Composite Case

The RM 67-02 case uses Quartz TPT® and Carbon TPT® materials. Richard Mille explains that these composites are constructed from layers of aligned filaments and are selected for properties suited to demanding applications.

The case construction contributes to the model’s exceptionally low weight while creating the distinctive layered appearance associated with TPT® composite watches.

Wayde van Niekerk Automatic Sprint Edition

The RM 67-02 Automatic Sprint was specifically associated with Wayde van Niekerk’s sporting discipline. Richard Mille describes the watch as being developed for optimum comfort, technical sophistication, and dynamic lines.
